The Experience
Mornings start early and unhurried: patrolling the beach for nesting activity with rangers we’ve worked alongside for over a decade, learning to read the sand for signs most visitors walk straight past. Afternoons are for the reef — snorkelling coral restoration frames planted by past guests — and evenings are, quite deliberately, for doing very little at all.

Arrival & Welcome
Crossing by boat to Perhentian Besar, chalet check-in, and a welcome dinner cooked by a local host family.

Dawn Patrol
Your first nest patrol briefing with the ranger team at sunrise, followed by an afternoon snorkel introducing the reef.

Day
Reef Restoration
A hands-on morning at the coral nursery, plus a marine biologist talk on nesting behaviour and reef health.

Island Crossing
A slower boat day to Perhentian Kecil, with a full free afternoon — genuinely free.

Night Watch
A morning beach cleanup followed by an evening nesting watch — often the trip highlight.

Slow Goodbye
One last swim, a closing circle with the ranger team, and the crossing back to the mainland.
